Photographer’s Note
“I captured this frame while exploring hidden urban corners for my blog. My goal was to strip away the literal details of the street. I wanted to focus on the feeling of being alone in a city. By using a post-processing linear blur, I turned the buildings into a series of vertical streaks. This allowed the stationary subject to become the emotional anchor of the shot. The near black-and-white palette was a result of the colour of the surrounding buildings. This enhanced the atmosphere of urban solitude. It removed distractions and highlights the relationship between light and the human form.”
